The North Carolina Aquariums at Fort Fisher is seeking a dynamic, efficient, and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Business Services Manager. The Business Services Manager will provide administrative assistance to the Director with oversight in budgetary matters, fiscal operations, purchasing coordination, and office staff management.

Daily duties include:
- Monitor and adjust Aquarium budget
- Supervise secretarial, reception, seasonal, and volunteer office staff
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Coordinate fiscal processes
- Manage personnel and payroll records
- Manage operational and program files
- Special projects and other duties as assigned by Director

Experience Required
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies

Qualified candidates must have or be able to:
- Experience managing budgets, accounting software, and purchasing supplies.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite. Supervisory experience.
- Experience managing and maintaining contracts for a state, county, or federal government agency.
Management Preference:
- Experience communicating and working with vendors at a Zoo, Aquarium, Museum, or similar facility.
- Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Some state job postings say you can qualify by an “equivalent combination of education and experience.” If that language appears below, then you may qualify through EITHER years of education OR years of directly related experience, OR a combination of both. High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and four years of related administrative experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
