- The Copywriter will play a crucial role in our marketing department, orchestrating the development and execution of engaging copy that aligns with our strategic objectives.
- This position will be part of a core team that crafts and delivers impactful campaigns across all marketing channels.
- This individual will oversee the full cycle copywriting process, from conceptualization to final execution, crafting impactful copy that resonates with target audiences.
- The Copywriter will collaborate closely with colleagues across marketing, public relations, creative services, brand strategy, development, etc. to develop copy solutions that seamlessly integrate visuals with messaging.
- This role requires a high level of organization, able to handle many diverse projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. Candidates should be prepared to present a portfolio showcasing previous work.
Functions
- Develop and present on brief copy solutions that support the achievement of business goals, align with brand guidelines and are delivered on-timeline
- Translate brand strategies via breakthrough concepts and compelling copy
- Serve as a strategist and problem solver for the marketing department, helping to drive brand voice forward, grow affinity and engage with target audiences
- Support the creation of copy for a wide range of marketing assets inclusive of social, digital, web, email, out-of-home, venue/exhibit signage, and print
- Support paid media campaigns and adapt copy to optimize for SEO, CTA’s, etc.
- Participate in strategy discussions around campaigns, revenue generation, events, and more
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the company, its products, and its client base to implement effective copywriting across marketing campaigns
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and find elements of creative inspiration
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, journalism, or communications
- 3-5 years of copywriting experience at advertising agencies or in-house at brands
- Expertise writing copy across various marketing formats and channels
- Strong understanding of, and experience with, 360 degree campaign development
- Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing
- Strong communicator with mastery of language, grammar & punctuation and the ability to write concise and persuasive copy
- Ability to work productively in teams and to interact professionally with diverse group of clients and staff
- Creative, self-starter who is able to successfully manage multiple projects and respect multiple deadlines while changing priorities on a tight schedule
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines and operate under time pressure, with various interruptions.
- Must be self-directed and extremely well organized
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite applications
- Familiarity working with PC and Mac platforms
