Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Work with various stakeholders to ensure proper emergency management training and exercises are occurring on a regular basis.
- Coordinate the aquarium’s incident command system approach to animal transport and special projects.
- Serves a vital role in ensuring the success and ready status of the Wildlife Response Operations Center (WROC) and associated equipment and supplies.
- Administers various emergency notification and incident support systems and assists with warning dissemination.
- Coordinates internal exercise program and design in accordance with HSEEP standards and participates in various stakeholder exercises.
- Coordinates with partner agencies in the emergency management process by establishing and maintaining networks of subject matter experts for all types of hazards.
- Documents and tracks all emergency management activities as required for compliance, reimbursement, and reporting.
Experience Required
Associate degree in Emergency Response, Homeland Security, Safety and Health, or related field preferred. Six months to one-year related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of experience and education.
