Employee Engagement Partner

The Employee Engagement Partner reports to the Director of Organization Learning and Development supporting internal employee communications, DEI, and professional development initiatives, as well as a wide array of engagement activities that foster a work environment with informed and engaged employees. The Employee Engagement Partner works closely with employees at all levels of the organization and supports a variety of special projects and programs to advance department goals.

  • As a member of the Talent & Culture team, this role incorporates DEI values into all aspects of the employee experience to ensure our organizational culture and initiatives promote inclusivity, belonging, and wellness.
  • This is a full-time regular position offering a comprehensive benefits package.
  • The schedule will be Monday-Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm with the option for a hybrid schedule, working some days on-site and some days remotely.
  • Remote days are only available for residents of MA, RI, NH, ME, NY and VT.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Implement internal communication strategies including the organizational newsletter and maintain engaging content and information on intranet platforms to ensure that employees are informed, engaged, and aligned with Aquarium happenings and Talent & Culture initiatives.
  • Lead and promote employee feedback channels and platforms. Conduct exit conversations and stay interviews. Compile and report on trends and findings that can be used to make actionable recommendations.
  • Partner with the Director to analyze real-time data to gain insights from regular engagement surveys and other feedback; develop recommendations that drive solutions to underlying issues impacting employee retention and engagement.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to ensure a positive applicant experience and a welcoming and engaging new hire onboarding and orientation experience.
  • Organize and facilitate team-building activities, recognition programs, and social engagement opportunities that promote teamwork, recognition, and appreciation.
  • Coordinate a variety of professional development opportunities, group training initiatives, and contribute to content creation and facilitation.
  • Work closely with various Aquarium departments and key internal collaborators to support management in fostering healthy team dynamics, collaboration, and a culture of learning and development.
  • Support other projects and perform position-related duties as assigned, including general administrative tasks to support Talent & Culture operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum Training and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree required; preferably in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field. Additional certifications or training in internal communications, DEI, or talent management is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience.
  • Strong written communication skills and experience with internal communication strategy; candidates should have experience building and/or delivering presentations.
  • Event and project management experience and the ability to facilitate multiple initiatives with many team members simultaneously.
  • Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Previous exposure to organizational development and culture-building initiatives is preferred.
  • Understanding of and a commitment to DEI principles and wellness.
  • Able to build engaging working relationships with people of different ages, interests, and backgrounds through trust, collaboration, and direct communication.
  • Growth mindset and an interest in continuous learning including an ability to receive and provide effective feedback.
  • Sound professional judgement and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work collaboratively with the team as well as independently.
  • Familiarity with HRIS and/or employee experience platforms and performance management tools.
  • Excellent presentation skills, both in one-on-one and group settings.

Salary
  • $63,000 - $70,000 / year
