Housekeeper I

Sweep, mop, wax and vacuum facility and office spaces.  Follow established procedures for preparing facility for opening each day.  Provide excellent guest services while regularly inspecting facility to ensure cleanliness.  Maintain open lines of communication with all departments to ensure proper cleanliness of facility during operating hours. 

  • Empty trash receptacles. 
  • Report all facility maintenance related issues that may impact guest satisfaction to Housekeeping Coordinator. 
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 
  • Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge and skills. 
  • Provide exceptional guest service. 
  • Abide by all policies and procedures outlined in the employee handbook. 
  • Act as a point of contact between Housekeeping staff in absence of Coordinator. 
  • Delegate assigned tasks to staff on each shift. 
  • Train new hires in daily upkeep of facility and help Coordinator train for area cleaning. 
  • Train staff on Detail work during day shift and after hours as needed. 
  • Check work done the night before and document any areas not to TSA standards. 
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS
  • Perform related duties as assigned necessary to produce after hour’s events that result in flawless execution while staying within the guidelines set by TSA. 
Experience Required
  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions.
  • Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
  • Basic personal computer skills needed. Ability to handle prioritize tasks Vision Requirements:
  • Ability to have close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less), distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more), Color vision (ability to identified and distinguished colors), peripheral vision (Ability to observe an area that may be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point) EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience.
