As Senior Accountant, the position will have a broad arrange of responsibilities involving all aspects of the monthly financial close including variance analyses, preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, and fulfilling reporting requirements. The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, relationship building and collaboration, judgment, team work, people management skills and the ability to work with various partners to build and maintain strong working relationships with operational clients and accounting/finance team members.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly general ledger account reconciliations and associated journal entries.
- Be heavily involved with Month End Close including variance explanations and financial analytics on actual vs budget and month over month including preparation of any necessary journal entries.
- Maintain and reconcile all Fixed Assets as well as Construction in Progress accounts and schedule/lead monthly status meetings.
- Assist with annual external financial audit by assembling and gathering required audit schedules and support.
- Be a financial liaison with defined budget owners throughout the Company to ensure the appropriate journal entries, accruals and transactions are reflected in their monthly departmental statements.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
- 5+ years of accounting experience.
- Knowledge of GAAP required.
- Working knowledge of Great Plains a plus.
- Well-developed problem analysis and resolutions skills.
- Above average ability to organize, manage time and set priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Ability to be flexible and shift priorities to meet departmental requirements.
