TITLE: Guest Experience Lead  

DEPARTMENT: Guest Experience

CLASSIFICATION:  Part Time, Hourly                                  

Summary:

This position runs from May 18, 2026 - October 11, 2026. You will work closely with the Guest Experience Team to create a fun environment for our guests.  The Guest Experience Lead will assist the Guest Experience Leadership Team with the day-to-day operation of the Guest Experience Department while supporting front line staff to create memorable experiences for our guests. This position will also facilitate animal “touch” experiences, perform scheduled and impromptu shows, provide guest interactions with select animals that are memorable and engaging, and facilitate the training of new team members.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide engaging, educational experiences to aquarium guests. Responsibilities include facilitating touch exhibits, narrating educational shows put on by Husbandry staff, and performing informal educational talks at exhibits.
  • Promptly respond to employee and/or guest related concerns.
  • Assist Guest Experience Manager as point of contact for the Guest Experience team and other Aquarium departments to handle guest, employee, and safety concerns. Act as primary leadership “on call” when necessary.
  • Provide feedback to management team for areas of improvement throughout Aquarium.
  • Attend all Aquarium training programs and demonstrate an ongoing understanding of exhibits, programs, visitor information and policies/procedures.
  • Communicate training updates to Guest Experience leadership team.
  • Complete daily line schedules for the Guest Experience Department.
  • Complete daily recaps for the Guest Experience Department.
  • Complete daily spot audits for programs and touch exhibit experiences.
  • Participate in Aquarium related education, public relations and guest programs including facility tours and after-hours events.
  • Responsible for primary training of new Guest Experience employees, ensuring and demonstrating programming is delivered in a manner that is professional, enthusiastic and energetic. Report updates to Guest Experience Manager.
  • Support Adventure Aquarium’s overall guest experience through excellent guest service and provide operational support as needed. Assist the Guest Experience Manager with other duties as needed.

 

What you’ll bring:

  • 1-year customer service experience
  • High School Diploma preferred
  • Course work in Biology or similar field or experience working with animals preferred
  • Theater or acting experience preferred
  • Friendly, outgoing, and proactive
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays with occasional evenings—must have Saturday & Sunday availability

Special Requirements:

  • Allergies related to animals or plants, which might interfere with ability to work, must be controlled by medications or protective equipment
  • Ability to remain on feet for long periods of time, climb stairs, bend and stoop, walk long distances
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
